African Great Lakes Initiative of Friends Peace Teams Summer Workcamps

Each summer AGLI (AG-lee) - the African Great Lakes Initiative of Friends Peace Teams - offers summer workcamps for all ages. To date the youngest has been 8 and the oldest 84 although most are between 17 and 35. Last summer we had a family of 4 from NYYM. Two years ago it was a family of 5 from southern Illinois (ILYM). This summer we are sponsoring workamps in Burundi, Kenya, Rwanda and Uganda.

We hold a firm belief that these practices are wrong in principle; we owe an honest return for that which we receive. Indulgence in games of chance for the purpose of winning prizes also blunts this proper sense of obligation.
